Azusa Pacific ELM San Diego Spring 2014

I applied to the the ELM program for spring 2014 in San Diego at APU. I got a phone interview and all they went over were the classes that I need, which I am currently in. She said I was a strong candidate, but I know that the competition to get one of 20 spots is quite fierce. The deadline isn't until March 1st so I am going crazy waiting for an answer!

Has anyone else applied? We can wait around together:)

Will I have to fill out a completely new application if I don't get accepted? As in resend transcripts and rec letters again?

I just heard for Spring 14! Did you?

Yes, I actually got accepted to summer, but due to a certain circumstance I can't start. I got put on the alternate list for spring though.

Yes, I have finished all my prerequisites. Me too!!! From what I heard there's usually at least one that decides to go to another program, or something comes up. My fingers are crossed!

If you wanted to start a Facebook page for the SD APU cohort you could email Renee the link and she would send it out to the rest of the people in the cohort. She sent me the link to the original group I was accepted to.

I finally made the Facebook page for SD spring 14. Just search APU ELM SD Spring 14. You should be able to find it. Let me know if anyone has problems.

Hi everyone,

I was wondering if anyone would mind giving an example of a reference they used for the 'personal' reference requirement. On the form it says that family and friends are not acceptable, but when I e-mailed someone about it a few months ago they suggested a friend that knows you personally or a colleague who is also a friend. I'm just a little confused so if anyone who was accepted/is applying now has any examples I would really appreciate it.
