Azusa ELM Summer 2020

Published

Hello all,

I have recently submitted my application for the summer 2020 cohort at Azusa not too long ago. I applied to the main campus --Azusa, Inland Empire, and the San Diego campus. I noticed there was not a page created for this cohort so I decided to make one. I just finished taking my last prerequisite course which was research methods. I am anxiously waiting to hear back from them with any news... Will keep you guys updated(: How about the rest of you? I wish you all the best in your nursing journey!

Hi All,

Did anyone get into IE for summer 2020 looking for a roommate? Let me know.

Hello,

Hello everyone! I started using this page back in May before submitting my application to get an idea on things! I applied the first time around and didn’t hear back even with an interview, then applied again and got accepted to Summer of 2020! I’m super excited!! Anyone else get in?

Hi everyone! I'm not sure if anyone is still following these older forums but I thought id try anyways! I was accepted into the Spring 2021 cohort at the IE campus and I'm on the waitlist for Fall 2020... I just recently found out that I am pregnant, so I was wondering if anyone would be willing to give me a little bit of a timeline of the first/second semester of the program? Maybe some tips on some things I can study to get ahead. I am unable to see which textbooks are used for the first semester but any insight would be extremely appreciated! ?

Congratulations Sieldani on your admission! APU really strives to help their students and I am proud to say that I can personally vouch for that at the IE location! I'm currently a second semester student in the program, and am proud of it. Since you are pregnant, I would suggest keeping in contact and being honest with your professors throughout your experience. I personally went through a medical procedure during the program and ended up missing some classes, but they are incredibly understanding and will do everything in their power to help you succeed. In terms of timeline, we were told to not expect any breaks except for maybe a week or two during Christmas time but it varies. You would have to speak to the program manager about that. To be completely honest, I am only able to speak from my own experience and if I were to give past me some advice to get ahead before the start of the semester, I would say not to & to just relax and enjoy the time with loved ones. In terms of textbooks, I would suggest waiting for orientation. During orientation, they give specifics on the program and books. Most everyone purchased the book bundle which was roughly 1,000 dollars. The bundle includes all the books and even online material (practices quizzes/tests) for the full program and is actually a discount if you were to calculate it all out separately (believe me, I did). Expect some more miscellaneous costs as well. I hope that provided some help! Goodluck and God Bless! ?

Is there anyone who could kind of explain how they are running classes during the pandemic? I was originally supposed to start the program in January but postponed my admission to the Summer term. I doubt it will still be online at that point but im just super curious about the format and how they’re doing things right now. ? hope all are doing well!
