Hello all,
I have recently submitted my application for the summer 2020 cohort at Azusa not too long ago. I applied to the main campus --Azusa, Inland Empire, and the San Diego campus. I noticed there was not a page created for this cohort so I decided to make one. I just finished taking my last prerequisite course which was research methods. I am anxiously waiting to hear back from them with any news... Will keep you guys updated(: How about the rest of you? I wish you all the best in your nursing journey!

I’m going to be honest idk my gpa but I had mainly As and Bs. My interview was so conversational we didn’t go in detail about grades mainly just about the program. I’ll calculate them for you when I get a chance this weekend.

Just received a call on my acceptance at the IE campus for the Spring cohort even though I applied for summer
Congrats to everyone and I’m excited to meet you all!

I dont think they were looking solely at gpa in determining admission. Seeing as my overall gpa is a 3.4, not stellar. & even more embarrassing is my science gpa which is even less so. I imagine that if they were only looking at gpa, I would not be admitted. Luckily for me, during my interview, I was given additional points for certain criteria (work experience, community service, interview, essay/letter etc). Its sounds like you do not necessarily want to apply to ADN programs..hmm aside from bettering yourself as a rounded applicant and reapplying there are other programs that offer a similar track to this one that you can also apply for as well. Im not sure if you are only looking for programs in San Diego, but I do know that UCI and CalBaptist have similar programs to APU's ELM MSN program. You might need to do a google search to check around for other programs that suit you. I myself have been rejected numerous times before I had gotten an acceptance, so I know the struggle. Just keep trying to better yourself as a person & dont lose hope. Keep applying! I hope that helps even if just a little!
