Azusa ELM Summer 2020

Hello all,

I have recently submitted my application for the summer 2020 cohort at Azusa not too long ago. I applied to the main campus --Azusa, Inland Empire, and the San Diego campus. I noticed there was not a page created for this cohort so I decided to make one. I just finished taking my last prerequisite course which was research methods. I am anxiously waiting to hear back from them with any news... Will keep you guys updated(: How about the rest of you? I wish you all the best in your nursing journey!

Hi guys I have not have an interview yet. For those that applied to the IE when did you guys get the invitation for the interview? Second time applying pretty nervous :(

Hi! This is my second time applying too. Fingers crossed. I got an invitation for an interview around June 18th. But they are still inviting people so don't get discouraged.

To those saying their interview was weirdly short:

I had seen prior year's forums say the same thing. They were mainly asked why nursing and why Azusa? I was expecting it to be shorter based on what I had seen before. My interview was about 30 minutes and my writing sample was 30 minutes, making it a total of an hour long. I was asked about 5 or 6 questions, but all were very standard, predictable interview questions. I wasn't thrown any curveballs.

When did you submit your application for summer of 2020, if you dont mind me asking? I was really hoping I would still have been invited to an interview at the end of April but I guess I should have submitted it earlier. Do you think that would have made a difference.

I submitted my application two days before the deadline. I don't think turning it in earlier would have made a difference. But I do know if you recently applied a year ago to the same campus and was given an interview last time, you wouldn't get one this time. That doesn't mean you won't get picked because of that.

There have been some students who applied twice and got one interview and still got picked. I wouldn't get discouraged just yet. Keep your faith!

Hi everyone! I applied for the ELM program for the IE campus. I just had my interview today! I’m very excited for everyone and can’t wait to hopefully meet you all!

Hi everyone! I interviewed 1 month ago at the inland empire location & was told that I would not hear back until August or September. Fingers crossed???? Good luck everyone!

From what I know they’re making decisions this week and the next, then decisions get sent out so it can be anywhere from this week to 2 ish weeks I hope!! Good luck everyone!
