So, right now I work in a Child Development Center while in School, I have my degree in Early Childhood Education.
Anyways, I am so confused.. Are you suppose to add a degree when taking a temperature axillary. At our center we are under no condition to take the temp. rectally. So even if they may be the best reading, we can't do that.
So under the arm.. add a degree or not?

Either add a degree or know that the normal Axillary temp is 97.6 degrees.

We were taught to add a degree.

Don't add a degree. Just report it as axillary.

Yep, don't have to add a degree. Just note that you took the temp axillary.
