When checking in yesterday, I had a message pop up in "this is really, really bad" red bold letters. The message stated I account will be deactivated if I did not deposit money to cover a negative balance. I was confused because in order to activate a test- you must first pay deposit enough money to pay for test. I checked billing statement and discovered a charge posted same day (4/4) for a test on 2/4. I messaged Affinity and response was the test I was selected for on 2/4 was 32.00 but the testing facility marked wrong option on the COC. Therefore, I was being charged 2 months later for the difference (24.00). Tip: Be sure to double check COC panel to verify it matches your selected panel. It is scary to think the testing site could mistakenly mark an expensive test and I would be responsible to pay difference.

Yet another reason why I will drive miles out of my way to go to a LabCorp. I am fortunate in that I have always been able to go when LabCorp is open. To me that eliminated even having to use the COC forms. I worry that yet another pair of hands on this sets us up for another mistake which of course will be our fault. Your situation is precisely what I mean.
In my state, When they added the blood tests (for what reason, I still can’t figure out) nobody bothered to mention that we would have to manually put in a COC number from the paper given to us by LabCorp. In almost 5 years, I had never had anything other than pee and had never gone anywhere other than LabCorp so I was like ‘what? What number?” when i got a nasty-gram from Affinity. These people are not big on communication unless it involves demands for money so I should not have been surprised.
