Average time to Nursing School decision/acceptance?

Published

Hi all,

I just submitted my application to a BSN program yesterday and am wondering how long it generally takes to hear the decision? I know someone who applied to the same program (Goldfarb School of Nursing at Barnes-Jewish) and received her acceptance letter in ~ 3 weeks, but she applied for the accelerated BSN program. I'm not sure if it will be the same for the undergrad program.

There is no entrance exam etc. for this program, it's just apply and be accepted (or not) then generally get wait listed for the start time you applied for.

How long did it take any of you to hear, if you have been through this already?

Thanks!!

Different School, but it took 2.5 months from the deadline to hear back, which was 3 months from when I applied. Of course if you are applying for this fall you are going to get results soon.

Our apps were due third week in Feb. and they started sending out acceptance/denial letters at the end of April.

I submitted my application at the beginning of Feb. But because of the system used to evaluate applications involves grades and performance in the spring semester, the school didn't look at or evaluate

"good candidate" apps until the 1rst week of June, and didn't mail acceptance letters until the first week of July.

rejections went out as early as middle April.

How they determined that early that the applicant wasn't eligible is unknown.

Break a leg though.
