hey guys i just took trip to atlanta for a seminar and i really enjoyed my 1 week stay ther in atlanta georgia. i also visited marietta , roswell, and i really like the area.

when i graduated with my adn and get my rn licensure i would liek to live in georgia.

what is the average per hourly wage there in atlanta georgia?

how would you rate the atlanta medical center in downtown atlanta as a place to work?

also how is the cost of living there?

All of the local hospitals have job postings on their websites. A good way to compare facilities is by the number of open positions a hospital or system has. A lot of open positions tells you that that working conditions are not good.

does anyone know of any good hospitals close to powder springs georgia in cobb county?

Cherokee county is a great area to live in. I spent the last 5 years there. We just moved to midwest from there (which I am sick about!) Anyway, cherokee has great schools, interstate 575 to 75 all the way into Atlanta metro. The only thing is everybody keeps moving further out because there are so many folks moving to the city. Traffic can be real ugly. Just make sure your commute times are good. I remember driving into Piedmont one morning and it took about 3 hours. However, I still plan to come back to the south as soon as I finish my BSN.

ON THE SUBJECT OF ATLANTA. I AM 9 YRS IN NURSING CARDIOLOGY,

TRAVELLER CURRENTLY, CAN HIT THE GROUND RUNNING SO TO SPEAK. THINKING OF MOVING TO THE ATLANTA AREA, TRAVELING W/14 YO SON. WHERE ARE THE GOOD HIGH SCHOOLS, AND GOOD NEIGHBORHOODS, WOULD ACTUALLY LIKE TO SETTLE THERE AND BUY SOMETHING. WE'LL SEE... AS OF 2005-6 WHICH HOSPTIAL ARE GOOD? MONEY AND CULTURE, STAFFING RATIOS ETC. I INTEND TO TAKE A TRAVEL ASSIGNMENT FIRST JUST TO CHECK THE PLACE OUT, BUT WOULD APPRECIATE ANY INFO OUT THERE ON SAFE NEIGHBORHOODS AND GOOD HOSPITALS. THANKS.

Cherokee county schools are good. Just sold our house out there. Little less expensive than Alpharetta. Also taxes lower than Fulton. Cumming, GA also very good. Good schools, low taxes, lots of shopping, dining, ect. Just beware traffic on GA 400 can be disasterous.
