This paper outlines the history of the Autism immunization debate. It shows how it affects nurses and what nurses can do to help scared parents make the right choice for their children. Like it or not there are a lot of scared parents refusing immunizations some for the good reason others are just plain misinformed. Nurses are on the front lines and need to step up to educate these parents and help regain public trust. Show these parents that they have options other than refusing immunizations altogether. This can potentially lower the number of unimmunized children in the united states.
