Australian RN equivalent to USA LPN?

Hi everyone,

I am currently going through the process of getting my credentials certified by CGFNS. I am a practicing RN in Australia. I have been deemed deficient in two areas- obstetrics and paediatric clinical hours only.

I was wondering if anyone knows whether I would be able to apply for and gain recognition as a LPN so that I could be working whilst I made up those subjects in the US or if anyone has any experience doing so?

I am coming across on a family based visa, so I am not requiring a job to immigrate.

Thanks!

You can do that here in California. I'm not sure with other states or territories.

Would you know the process by any chance? If I can avoid going through CGFNS I will!!

I think California LVN requires CGFNS. Found this so ERES is an option

Thanks so much! I will look into it. I am getting desperate to get to the states, I've spent enough time away from my partner

@vince_reads

can you please let me know which college can we take the course for deficiency in California?
