Any USA nurses out there know about the process for an Australian nurse to permanently live and work in America? There is so much information on the web, sometimes it's overwhelming. Any help/support would be great!

Moved to the Nurse Registration forum in our world nursing section. You will need to be general trained with hours in adult med/surg. maternity/obstetrics, pediatrics, geriatrics and mental health. You will need to start with the licensing requirments as an internationally educated nurse as dictated by the board of nursing in the state where you wish to live and work. There is a link at the bottom of each page of this site for the state boards of nursing.
The economy is tight and there are few jobs in some areas for new and experienced nurses who were educated in the United States.
