Australian nurse wanting to work in America

Hello! I am an Aussie RN from Melbourne Australia. I am very interested in working as a nurse in America due to family reasons. Especially interested in Tennessee, Texas, Kentucky, North Carolina, Colorado or Arizona. I have completed a 3 year bachelor course in Australia and am concerned that I may not have the required obstetrics and pediatric hours required. Is there a course I complete in Melbourne or even in the USA to make up these hours? I would love to know where to begin the process of moving to the USA. i would like to add that i was an IV drug endorsed enrolled nurse for 5 years prior to an RN in case that helps. Any help would be much appreciated. Thank you

I tried to message you but for some reasons I’m not allowed ?
I’m planning to go on an E3 visa to work in WA. I’m just wondering how can I get an SSN for WA license (after I obtain NY license). It’s best for me to get a job in WA for my E3 visa, but if I have to initially work in NY, it’s not the end of the world.

Hi Jenny, 

Maybe I can help you.

I am Australian Nurse too, got my RN Nursing license with Montana, currently in WA. I had look through the SSN and E3 issues as well.

I see, no problem. tomorrow is fine but not the same time. It will be too late on WA. I am available tomorrow night 8pm - 9pm seattle time. You can reply your answer on the email that I send you.
