I am wanting to move to the US (Seattle Washington) and will graduate this year 2010. Is it possible to get a new grad position in Seattle as an Aussie new grad? If so what will I need in order to get a position there?

E3 as a new grad you may find that is hard without experience behind you but ghillbert would be able to tell you more about that visa.Would also suggest starting point is checking out the state board of nursing and seeing what requirements you will need for an International trained nurse. You can find links to US state boards of nursing at the bottom of the page.

I came out on a employer sponsored visa and then got a green card after working for them for so long but then again there was a huge nursing shortage. My advice is just to go through an agency, not alone but realising that it is hard enough for US nurses to get jobs right now.
