I graduated with my BSN from the US but I very much don't want to practise in the US as I have no intention to be a nurse in the US at all (family issues, I have no plans in taking the NCLEX) but want to practise in Australia (possibly in New Zealand too), would I need to take an exam for Australia from AHPRA or such? What must I do? Would AHPRA accept my US nursing degree without an NCLEX? I would love to return back to Australia. Please advise, I understand this is my fault for studying with a foreign degree in nursing as my other colleagues studied in uni for a business course or such. Any links or websites that can help me with information?

You will require to take and pass NCLEX as I am sure that you are required to have a license in the country you trained in. I also believe you are required some work experience but you really need to check out the requirements for international trained nurse on AHPRA's website

Who knows with AHPRA these days, however, they do indicate on the application form, you do need certification from a licensing board/council to say you have good standing, Do not need any experience with Registering with AHPRA only need 3 months experience if being assessed by ANMAC for PR visas.

You would need to have registration in your own country before you could become registered in New Zealand.
