Nursing Students School Programs

Hello everyone,

I did not see any other thread for ACC Spring 2018. Figured I would start one where we can all share our acceptance anxieties. I applied last week, I don't think I will get in first time around though :( very competitive. How do your application stats look?

Can any give me advice on how to study for nursing skills? My professor said to read the chapters, but i was wondering if anyone had a certain way they did it. Theres no study guide or anything so I feel slightly lost lol.

BTW THANKS FOR THE ADVICE ON THE MASTER CHECK OFF I PASSED ON THE FIRST ATTEMPT!

I didn't really study the chapters, I reviewed the powerpoints and studied the checklists for all the skills we need to know. The tests are basically common sense. What your supposed to do/not do, proper technique, I found most of the material was from the powerpoints and what you do in the lab. Ive been getting As on all the tests.

Did everyone who received the Nursing Skills petition get accepted into the program? I just received my petition for the Fall 2018 class. Just curious

Thanks!

I did! and most of the people in my 1105 class did too. good luck!!

That's good to hear! How is the Nursing Skills class? Any tips? I will be starting in March

For me it was good, I pretty much read the book/powerpoints and spent a little extra time outside of class practicing skills and it went by super fast...it is totally doable if you put in the time and effort...

Hi everyone! I am glad this thread exists thank you for posting.

My #1 question is after petitioned to take nursing skills how likely are you to get into the program at that point? Thanks!

If you are petitioned to take nursing skills then assuming you pass the class you are basically in the program. They will still have to send you an official letter stating you have been accepted and will ask if you accept to start for the next term or want to defer.

Thanks so much for your reply AmberK1026!! That's comforting to hear.

HI

is there anyway that someone that got accepted into this semester (spring 2018) will send me the powerpoints yall are studying right now?

I'm hoping to get accepted this fall 2018 and want to get ahead on my studying.

Thanks!!

I would highly suggest not giving out any course material and especially to those that arent officially in the program yet. It could be grounds for termination from the program. Its just not worth it.
