Austin Community College (ACC) Fall 2016 hopefuls

Nursing Students School Programs

I looked for a thread about the Fall 2016 admission hopefuls, but I didn't find one. I thought I would start one and hopefully find some other ACC students who have applied , so that we can network. This is my first application and I'm currently taking Nursing Skills. Just looking for fellow hopefuls out there.

Specializes in Med Surg/ Tele/ PICC.

So I just got my ranking score to possibly be accepted for fall 2017 for Mobility track. Would anyone be so kind to share their ranking score from a previous year?

if you don't mind me asking what was your gpa and hesi when you applied

I wanna say my pre req GPA was 3.0 and I made a 90 on my HESI. I also had all my co reqs (ethics, writing etc) finished which also gives you more points. There are plenty of people in my class that got in with lower gpas and HESI scores that are doing just fine. I also know they are expanding the class sizes by about 10-15 seats at both campuses. My professor told me our admitting class was 50 but the next level would be 60-65.

Also, they send out acceptance letters in rounds. People at the top of the list get acceptance letters first. We have a set amount of time to accept or decline, then based on that number, they send out another round etc. I have a friend who got her letter two weeks before orientation. Had to quit her job and everything. So just be ready when you put you application in to start the following semester, cause you may get an acceptance really short notice! Get financial aid all lined up even before you hear so your classes are covered if you get in.
