Austin Community College (ACC) ADN Spring 2022

Hey guys! I have tried to look for a group for upcoming Spring 2022 cohort, but could not find one. So, here we go. I know the process is pretty long  and confusing and many of us have questions. I though I will create this thread,  that way we can all help each other, answer questions, give suggestions and keep each other up to date on upcoming deadlines, and the whole process in general.

Hope you can join me guys! And stay safe, it is getting crazy out there again.

Where is everyone doing their CPR classes? The courses prior to Dec. 1st at ACC are booked up and I'm not finding approved courses with available dates (I assume because of the pandemic.)

I had my CPR class at Highland campus today. They only had a few openings weeks ago but it was filling up quickly when I registered.

I took mine with Queen of Hearts CPR last week. I signed up the week before the class and it was a small class, I really enjoyed it. I'm not sure where you're located but I took her class in Leander. I think they have other areas though.

I wish I would have avoided RRC.  If you do RRC, avoid Cornerstone as your clinical.  Just my two cents.

Oh no, I'm glad now I got in to EVC. I head RRC was pretty tough.

separate question: now we wait to be petitioned to register for classes right? and once we do that, then we purchase books? 

this process is extremely convoluted!

The process is very convoluted and overwhelming.  Let me look back at email and see if anything refreshes my memory.  Meanwhile, I suggest buying the bundle sooner than later.  This last semester, several students were waiting for material that was on back order (whether or not this bothers you might depend on whether or not you prefer an actual book in hand).  Additionally, when you get your books, make sure to scratch off the silver square inside the cover and get registered with those codes as well.  Stay on top of it and you’ll be okay.

I received a very late acceptance email yesterday! I’m so surprised, I definitely did not expect this to happen in December. Looking at the list of things to complete (with deadlines before I even got accepted ?) is so stressful. I don’t know how I’m going to get all of this done!

Congrats!! so exciting and stressful for sure! let me know if you have questions, as you can tell its all a bit confusing ? have you receieved your placement?
