Auscultation of lung sounds is a cornerstone of nursing assessment, and I do it for all patients. Of course, I ask patients if they want to, and if they refuse, I don't do it. The problem is that the patient reported my lung sound auscultation as sexual harassment. I recently had an interview with CA BRN Investigator. As I explained the importance of lung auscultation to BRN investigators, I felt discouraged. I have less than 2 years of nursing experience. What fate awaits me in the future? Any advice please?

If you haven't consulted an attorney yet, you should do so. They would have a better idea of how to protect your license. Although if you have already had an interview with the BRN you may just have to wait for their decision.
