AUS nurse wanting NMC Registration

Posted

Has 4 years experience.

Hey all!

I'm currently in the process of applying to the NMC for my registration. I just contacted the university I attended (2009 - 2011) and they said that the theory component of my course only counts for 1172 hours. The minimum for NMC application is 1533.

I'm currently unable to get any proof of the subjects I completed/lectures/classes/labs etc that were included in this course in order to work out if this number of hours is correct or not.

Should I give up on my registration temporarily and do a Graduate Certificate or something to make up some more hours? I went to UQ and did a three year degree... Surely the theory component is worth more hours than this???

Any info at all is appreciated!

***also just realised that this should be in the "Registration" forum if anyone knows how to move it!

hey there,

I went to uni in sydney for my bach of nursing and now have a decision letter. you should be fine- they are willing in some cases to accept under the hours if its slight (i know because the applications manager told me personally. its a case by case basis).

but you know your uni must give you a transcript of all your courses and marks? i dont really get why you cant get that from them? are they rufusing to give this to you? because thats what you need!
