Aurora University Applicants 2014

Published

Hey, I'm officially waiting on the acceptance to the nursing school of AU. I got my TEAS V score today and its a 72. Not too happy with it, but honestly I only studied the science portion and for a week. So I guess it's not too shabby. I have a GPA of 3.5.

Hopefully I've caught the eyes of other AU applicants out here. Feel free to share your scores and hopefully we get in!

i know you take pathophysiology, nursing concepts one and two other courses i cant remember :p

I registered online and I think lab and clinical days/times will be given closer to when classes start. For lecture, there's Intro to Prof. Nursing on either M or W (the Tuesday one is already full), Health Assessment T/TH, and Fundamentals T/TH. I'm taking Patho during the summer, but there's one morning section MWF and night sections on either MW or T/TH.

In the nursing open house, they said for fall 2014 you have to take principles of nusing 1 -with clinicals, Health assessment Education and promotion with lab, Introduction to professional Nursing, Global Justice, and pathophysiology. But for pathophysiology you have to take it in summer. Its a month long and you meet every Monday and Wednesday 6-9:45. For global village, I hope I could also take it in summer , and its 3 months at night twice a week. 6-8:45. The other classes its all morning classes ...you decide what days and time. usually twice a week from 8-3:45pm... lab and clinicals....im not sure, but I was looking at spring 2014 schedule and it seems is one day a week for 3 hrs. I'm not sure. But you could got to aurora.edu...click on current student..then web advisor, and look for class schedule. you will be able to see what hours are available for fall 2014.. I have an appointment with my advisor on Thursday....I let you know....

I'll set up a meeting with an advisor soon. I work nights, so hopefully I can take afternoon classes!

I was not accepted :(. They put me on the waiting list and I am number 15. UGH. I need 15 people to give up their position to get in this sucks.

@mymatter I also know a classmate who was wait listed, but I'm not sure what number she is ranked at. Don't give up hope. If I get accepted into UIC, I will choose to go there. I'm sure there are other students who may possibly drop out if they get accepted into another program or for other reasons.

Thank you. I'm trying not to give myself too much hope about it though. It was the only school I applied for since I'm already in it. Hopefully! All you have to do is call the Nursing office and they will gladly tell you. I'll call in 2 weeks to see if I moved up. So crossing fingers, but also trying to be realistic.

Best of luck to you. Let me know how it goes :)! I'll keep you posted about UIC also.

Thank you that will be super helpful! Good luck to you.

im sorry to hear you got waitlisted, i dont understand why you got waitlisted you had good scores and everything.

what? You had a better score and a better gpa than me...but dont guve up... You still in the waiting list... Many people applied more than one school :-) think positive

I think it's because of my transferr credits I had a bad year but it's from 2011. They don't just look t your gpa and TEAS. The past crept on me.
