Augusta University MSN CNL Fall 2021 Entry

Hey there! I know it is really early, but I wanted to get a head start and connect with others who are also applying! We can use this forum to answer each others questions and just provide words of encouragement! ?

I'm about to apply and I just read that you have to send in a second set of transcripts (in addition to NursingCAS) with a supplemental application. What time frame do they give you to send in your transcripts?  My university doesn't do the electronic transmission and it took about 3 weeks with a rush order to get them sent into NursingCAS. ?‍♀️

I did - Athens Campus! I was nervous about not getting in at Athens. Also, I only had to send transcripts to nursingCAS. The supplemental did not require them.

That's great! Congratulations! What made you choose that campus? I'm not from GA and I've been trying to decide between the two.

Thank you! I live 30 minutes from Athens and nearly 3 hours from Augusta. Augusta campus is beautiful honestly! If I lived closer I’d have chosen Augusta. Athens is more competitive because there are fewer spots but the campus is in a strip mall. It won’t bother me but if you aren’t from GA I’d recommend Augusta. I don’t know too much about the area but I did visit main campus once. I see the Athens campus often.

Post-Bac - 4.0

Undergrad - 3.42

Grad - 4.0

Overall - 3.46

Those were my nursingCAS reported GPAs. I think the only GPA that matters is undergrad. There was also an upward trend in my GPA each year. I only took a few grad classes for teaching and post bac was for my prereqs.

Good to know! I checked out pics and video of the campuses and asked some people from Georgia about the area. I heard that Athens is a cooler area to live in with a lot to do, but the main campus is nicer. I'm pretty sure I'd be happy with either one. I'm happy for you that you were accepted into the one you wanted, that's fantastic!

Yeah, I do not remember there being much around in Augusta. I didn't do too much exploring and although the campus was beautiful, it didn't have much around. haha! (Note that this was 4-5 years ago) Athens probably has more things to do, but there are nice and not so nice areas in Athens (I attended UGA in Athens for a little while). Plus, Athens is a much closer drive to Buford (Mall of Georgia) and Atlanta if you wanted to have a weekend outing.

Trouble with my application... showing as incomplete for the longest, and finally had admissions correct it. 

Has ANYONE had a "decision made" status and NO background check option listed?

App posted as complete TWO days ago and "decision made" status already showing...

(edited to add: I am a former student of AU so not sure that may play a part in this or if I am denied/wait listed)

Even though my app has said decision made since Wednesday, I have still not received a decision email. Are there other Early Consideration applicants (Nov 1 deadline) who are still waiting?

I thought Jan 15 was the last day to send out decisions from that deadline?

It is. Did you check your snail mail and SPAM folder? If it’s not in either, maybe you should call or email the CNL program email.
