Hey there! I know it is really early, but I wanted to get a head start and connect with others who are also applying! We can use this forum to answer each others questions and just provide words of encouragement! ?
Best of luck to everyone!

Congratulations! It took about a day for the email and a week for the mail. I believe they email candidates in batches and not individually so you may not get one until after the letter in the mail arrives. My email had like 30 others on it as well.
Does anyone think you can get into this program with an overall undergrad FOS of 2.9 and nursing core GPA of 3.7?
Im taking my prerequisites at a local community colleges and is just trying to weigh my options. If I don’t go this route I’ll get my ADN but I’m thinking of getting my masters so I don’t have to get any other degrees
If you do not meet the minimum overall GPA of 3.0, your application will never even make it to the nursing achook CNL admissions committee. AU’s admissions office does not pass it over. I had a 2.97 and CNL never received my application. I spoke to the director. It’s a very competitive program and while I have TONS of medical experience in critical care, you MUST meet minimum requirements per the director.

That makes sense. I can cross that off my list and just go the ADN route and have the hospital cover my BSN. By then I should have a 3.0 to go into any masters program I choose
Hello,
I really hope someone can help me. I don't have above a 3.0 GPA in my undergrad (health service admin) (I started out really rough first couple of years and then improved towards the end), I have a 3.6 GPA in my MBA, and I achieved a Master's in Management and Leadership. I also have 8 years of management experience.
I am currently retaking the chem, a/p, psyc and micro to assist with my GPA. (my bio sciences are too old and the chem and psyc I have C's in)
Has anyone been accepted with a similar profile? I know the admissions say GPA of a higher degree but I didn't know what that meant for my undergrad.
I'm a top performer at my current employer and I know my letters of recommendation would be amazing.
Any info will be super helpful.

for the people that did the program how is it? What it worth especially for out of state tuition? Do they have a lot of grants and scholars? How did you pay for housing?
It was a wonderful experience, and the teachers were great. It is a hard program because it is accelerated, so it is a lot of work, but it is doable. Time will fly. Some people were able to work every weekend. You can live in the grad dorms ($900/month?) on the medical campus or off campus. Rent is cheap in Augusta, GA. I got a studio with utilities, including $740/month. Classmates who rented out places together paid $400-$500/month. Very few students got scholarships. I used a GI bill; one friend paid out-of-state tuition with $, and the other paid out-of-state tuition using a loan. Other friends took loans for in-state tuition. Other students took out stipend deals from hospitals. If you go, get to know your professors and other professors well, as they can access scholarships and grants to which they can refer you. Cons: No diversity in the program. The school and the city are diverse, but racism still exists.

My end goal was to have a DNP. I saw that AU offers a hybrid DNP program but not in any specialty. I am thinking about applying to it anyways and maybe a post MSN in a specialty all while working and raising a family. I think either way you’ll be okay.
