Augusta University MSN CNL Fall 2021 Entry

Published

Hey there! I know it is really early, but I wanted to get a head start and connect with others who are also applying! We can use this forum to answer each others questions and just provide words of encouragement! ?

Best of luck to everyone!

Hi everyone ? I'm someone that is currently in the program and just wanted to say good luck to you all. When I was applying to the school myself I remember checking our forum all the time while waiting. Just some general information that might help you all (Disclaimer: based off of my year, it could be different for you)

    - a majority of the early action people my year found out around December 15th

    - We could tell if we were accepted because we would see an Augusta email pop up in the status page

    - Some people that were waitlisted during early acceptance did end up getting off the list throughout Spring AND Summer (just know waitlist is not the end of the world)

    - A lot of factors play into the decision making process.

    - The program is a lot of fun and I am excited for you all!!

Hello! Thanks for the information and support! I truly appreciate it and am hopeful and excited!

Which campus do you attend? Are classes in person or online for you currently?

My status changed to Decision Made! I have an Augusta email ? Hopefully the letter will get here in the next couple of days. Good luck everyone!

Wow that is some great news! Which campus did you apply to? When did it change from Under Review to Decision made? So excited for you!

Thank you! Athens! On Friday, my status was still Ready for Review. I received an Application Under Review email on October 21st. Today, the status changed!

I currently attend the Athens campus. Both main campus and Athens are currently a mix of online/in person. Lab and clinical are always in-person. For lecture, we are split into three groups, and we go to lecture every third week (we attend via zoom the other two weeks).

Hey guys!

Just another current CNL student (Augusta campus). Just wanted to reach out and see if anyone needed any help or anything.

Also, just to note: I did early application but also had issues with my application and didn't find out until the new year. So don't let it discourage you if you applied early and don't hear back this year. Bit of a waiting game especially with everything happening.

Good luck everyone!

Hello everyone! I’m new to the forum and considering applying to the program soon. I’m currently a teacher but have been actively working towards applying to nursing school, specifically the CNL program.

Question: If I start the NursingCas app now, do I have to submit by Feb 15th or will my info role over for the next application cycle?

I’ve taken A&P 1 and 2, Micro, Lifespan and am scheduled for stat and chem. Has anyone been able to transfer a different psych for the general psych prerequisite? I took Educational Psych during undergrad so I’m wondering if it will suffice.

Has anyone applied and been accepted although the prerequisites weren’t complete?

Does anyone know if the removal of GRE/MAT requirement is long-term or just temporary, considering our nation’s  current status?

Sorry for all of the questions... ?

Hello, I am a former CNL student. Welcome. For your questions, if you submit your application by Feb 15th, you are considered for this cohort of 2021. NursingCas also save your info for later retrieval too I.e DNP/PhD applications. For a specific prerequisite class exemption, please contact the program manager through [email protected]. They can provide better a better answer. Also, you do not have to complete all the prerequisites before you can apply. As long as you complete them before the start date in Fall, you will be okay. The GRE/MAT requirement has been waved since 2019 as long as the GPA is . It doesn't hurt to add them into your application. Good luck.

Thank you for your response. There is a virtual info session tomorrow that I will sit in on, so hopefully it will bring some insight too. Thanks again!

For anyone who is currently in the MSN/CNL program.. Are you working? Is it possible to work part time and still be successful in the program? Thanks!

Does anyone know if paying the $200 to save your spot in the incoming class is binding? What happens if you decide not to attend at a later date?
