August 2014 for Broward College

Hi everyone,

I've been a lurker on allnurses for years, and finally am finishing up school to move forward for my Associates at Broward. Unfortunately, they have totally thrown a monkey wrench in the pre-req requirements, and now I'm going to have to wait until Jan 2015 possibly to get into that program!!!!! I have all pre res done except for the new math, CHM and new Micro pre-req. This is devastating. I'm wondering though, is it possible to take the Micro and Lab in the summer and somehow slip in for the August 2014 program, or am i bananas?

Have you noticed that central only sent two attached documents? The welcome letter and class schedule. South just sent out their email and it has four attachments:

Checklist

New health physical form

Can we use the same form for our physical?

I noticed that as well, maybe they'll send another. Or you can call Nicole from central

Central's schedule looks a little tough...I really like South's schedule. I just graduated from a medical assistant program a year ago and I went to school m-f 8-5 for a year straight so this schedule will be a breeze for me lol...now all the reading is another thing lol

Do you have to pay at the office when you do the drug screening and background check? Or do they charge it onto mybc?
