Hi everyone,
I've been a lurker on allnurses for years, and finally am finishing up school to move forward for my Associates at Broward. Unfortunately, they have totally thrown a monkey wrench in the pre-req requirements, and now I'm going to have to wait until Jan 2015 possibly to get into that program!!!!! I have all pre res done except for the new math, CHM and new Micro pre-req. This is devastating. I'm wondering though, is it possible to take the Micro and Lab in the summer and somehow slip in for the August 2014 program, or am i bananas?
I almost fell off my chair when the lady said we would have to study for 10 hours a day. I am a very laid-back person. I usually start studying a day or maybe two days before an exam. I just try to learn the concepts and memorize a few things. I will definitely have a tough road ahead..
lmao me too dude. i still havent gotten any emails yet. I guess theyre gonna wait until the second meeting is over
It will not be as bad as I thought. Process II starts after process I; I used to think we would be taking them at the same time. It will get even easier if you happen to be good at basic math, which I think only lasts 4 weeks.. We (I) pretty much have to concentrate on three classes the entire semester.

Hi,
My brain is still hurting from orientation now that the info has sunken in... And all that studying! They did a great job of scaring, but it is necessary to succeed. I got some scrub pants and polos, but there were no medium scrub tops.
Wish I could have met some of you..
Who's going to North campus?

They pretty much stressed how much work and study time is going to be needed. Up to 80 hours a week in total between studying and classes. They also said that if you cant make nursing school number one in your life, defer your seat because it is going to overtake your life for the next 18 months. Also whatever campus you register your classes for is where you will stay and on and on.... Just be prepared as much as you can
