August 2014 for Broward College

Hi everyone,

I've been a lurker on allnurses for years, and finally am finishing up school to move forward for my Associates at Broward. Unfortunately, they have totally thrown a monkey wrench in the pre-req requirements, and now I'm going to have to wait until Jan 2015 possibly to get into that program!!!!! I have all pre res done except for the new math, CHM and new Micro pre-req. This is devastating. I'm wondering though, is it possible to take the Micro and Lab in the summer and somehow slip in for the August 2014 program, or am i bananas?

I'm going to take Micro when we get that semester off from the program, it's doable and lots of people do it. And as far as Financial aid, they give you an amount you can spend in there every year. I dont know if that amount goes up for nursing students but i sure hope so, other wise im in trouble lol

You don't get a full semester off. .. You get 1/2 a semester

I've been reading past threads all day for tips on time managing and how to retain all the information that we'll be reading. The hard part of waiting to see if we were accepted is over but I am still getting more nervous by the day! I'm really nervous about the math, I hear it is where most students fail; I want to start practicing now but I have no idea where to begin. My anxiety is getting the best of me!
