attention to all nurses working in a secondary hospital....just wanted to ask benefits/ compensation if i'm going to work in a secondary (private) hospital here in the Philippines. thanks

For the first 6 months they give us below the prescribed minimum wage for nurses.. after the probationary period, they increased the basic salary slightly above the minimum wage.. That's why I transferred to public tertiary hospital.. Generally speaking, government nurses are paid higher than their private counterparts. I just don't know with secondary hospitals.

I was just sharing what I have experienced with a private tertiary hospital where I have worked with.

sarcia914 9 Posts Feb 11, 2010 It depends on the hospital you are working for. Some complies with the labor laws regarding nurses' benefits. If I were you, if you know someone working for that hospital, ask what are their benefits before you decide in applying.
windfreakzz 44 Posts Feb 15, 2010 yah some comply in labor law as my experience i am paying my own SSS better get job than paying the job ^_^ better get experience and forget salary think that you salary is only your allowance ^_^
