Hi- I'm not in Houston, but I suggest contacting your BON and asking them if they offer any scholarships themselves, or if they might have a list of scholarships/grants available in your area. I did this and got a $3000/yr scholarship directly from my BON.

There are a bunch of scholarship programs listed on the Excelsior website. Also check out www.collegeboard.com and www.fastweb.com .
