Easiest way around that is to find a lab that is open outside your work hours or close enough to go on your lunch break.
I work 8:30-4:30 and my lab is about 10 minutes away. They close at 5. You do not have to disclose ATP to a non healthcare job and I would avoid it if at all possible.

Drug screen are not so much about where you workbut a measure of your compliance with total abstinance. You can always ask burt these programs generally don't care about your fiancial situation. which is sad. They might bend if your intention is to never do patient care again , but I wouldn't count on it.

From my understanding, and certainly with the PA program, they will NOT work with you. Which is sad. We go into these programs desperate for one professional to understand, empathize, and help us forge on but we are not met with that at all. Just more hurdles and roadblocks. Legally, as humans, we are protected under American Disability Act. But, as nurses, we are not. Sadly.

To be clear the BONs do not care about your recovery. That is not their mandate. The BON's madate is public safety. As far as the quote above I know I was required to attend a nurse support group where I got that kind of support.

OH, I know that's abundantly clear, as I mentioned.
