Hi,
I came across the Atlas Healthcare website a few days ago and forwarded them my resume. A recruiting agent called me couple of days later. He explained it is a 3-year contract with the company and work is mostly located in rural areas. They even said in the contract that they will help you find a suitable housing once you get the job. I got their contract, but I haven't signed it yet because I am so nervous. It looks like a good opportunity but, like you, I want to know more about them.
Hey Moe2
I don’t know why I can’t sent message. Have you started your visa process? I decided to sign with them as it’s really hard to transfer directly from LTC to acute in Canada. Are you from US or Canada? If you have facebook or WhatsApp, we can exchange info. My phone is (780)2678844
Hi there! I know this is a old forum but was wondering if any of you went ahead and started working with them. I’m a recent new grad in Canada looking for jobs and stumbled upon them and got a call back, was wondering if you can all share some information on how it’s like! Thanks in advance
Hi there,
I suggest you find a job first, regardless of what position, get into door first and save money because this application process is gonna be at least 3 months and it costs money. If there’s no good opportunities in your Province, try other provinces. I have signed the contract for their 3 year Bridge program to transfer myself from long term care to acute care settings because I found it’s so hard to do so in Canada. If you want to work in US, you’d better start Visa Screen application as soon as possible because I am still in the process of getting Visa Screen, which is a must to go to US. I started submitting my docs from July, but since my university was closed because of CoVID, I had to wait till the end of September to get the required form filled by dean and mailed out. It takes quite a long time to get these thing done. I knew a girl who had started working since August as she had been in US already. she said it was pretty good. It’s a rural hospital, she can always get overtime.
I know! It’s hard to find jobs everywhere! Another good choice is to search in northern part like Yukon or Nunavut, where aboriginal communities need nurses. If you don’t mind the coldness, they provide very good benefits and hourly rates. They are also willing to accept new graduates. Just don’t be too picky when you are still a new graduate. Whether a job is good or not can only be determined by you after experiencing it yourself.
Thanks for the advice once again! I've been looking into Yukon and Nunavut actually and am willing to relocate! I heard some people actually get plenty of great experiences, however, it's just that I'd much rather prefer a job in my my province, if possible. Of course, I know I can't be too picky so I'm still just being hopeful for now! Good luck with your visa screening!

I'm not too sure if this is the right place to post this but 'Travel Nursing' looks to be the closest category...
Has anyone heard of Atlas Healthcare and have experience with them? It's a company where, from what I understand from skimming their website, they hire and help transition Canadian nurses to work in the U.S.
I just want more information.
