I asked. They do not…$2.5k isn’t much at all. A few of my cohorts were offered up to 10k at other hospitals elsewhere

Yeah they told me about 2.5 and was a bit disappointed because in Texas they are offering sign on bonuses and around 5k for relocation.

It is! Not all big city hospitals qualify though and not all rural/ semi rural area like the Mayo Clinic qualify neither. Almost all magnet hospitals don’t qualify. I wanted Emory St Joseph but couldn’t accept the offer because of the Nurse Corp scholarship. However, I am excited to move and start at EUH! If you want to pursue your masters later, Nurse Corp will definitely help with that.

I have the Nurse Corp scholarship as well! I thought Emory Midtown was the only one the qualified. I sucks that the time in residency doesn't count towards our time

Are you still considering Emory or sticking around in Texas?
I know! It really does suck. But I think it will be worth it. It's a different experience..

Yes I’m still going with Emory!

Hey Guys!

Graduate in May (I mean if I don't bomb these last few tests or whatever LOL) from the ADN program at Georgia State. Finally had some time to get my resume together and went on a rampage applying to all the residency programs. Mostly stuck to the ones that did a presentation in our career day. Piedmont, Emory Decatur, Grady, and a few of the Northside hospital locations.

Only place I've heard back from though is Piedmont Rockdale for an interview. Has anyone heard from any of the other hospitals for interviews or offers? I know a lot of people have applied in my cohort but it seems like they aren't calling us back very quickly.

Hey everyone,

I heard back from Northside Atlanta, Emory, Grady and CHOA Egleston for interviews. Took an offer from CHOA for the ED. I applied, did my virtual interview, spoke with the recruiter, interviewed at the location and got my offer all within about 30 days.

didn’t get a slot with EUH for ED and that’s all I really wanted with them so I never interviewed with Emory; didn’t really want Northside so that interview sucked; had to leave the Grady interview day because of an emergency and their interview layout wasn’t clear by the invitation.

Does anyone know what other hospitals in Atlanta is paying? I know Emory's base pay is 32.96.

The lowest I’ve heard of is $29 for RN-BSN new grads, highest is $33 (emory). Grady was also towards the top half. Wellstar has been offering sign-on bonuses with 24 month commitments but only some units and locations.

I believe grady and wellstar both offer additional differentials for various specialties (l&d, ED, critical care etc)

Hi all, so I interviewed for EUH and haven’t heard back yet. Was wondering if they notify you if you’ve been rejected? Do you only receive a response if it’s an offer? And how long does HR take to get back to you? I’ve heard rumors that Emory HR is slow, but don’t know if these are just rumors or not.

what unit? I interviewed with neuro ICU and they gave me a verbal offer but the official offer came 4 days later (and that's after I asked the manager, because I got other offer waiting response at the time) and the offer letter came another week later.

I interviewed with CVICU. I hadn't heard anything back so I emailed the HR recruiter who set up the interview. The last I heard from her was 03/24 when she said she hadn't heard back yet and would reach out to the unit director. Am I being ghosted because I was rejected or are they just genuinely busy? I personally don't know anyone who has been rejected from Emory so I'm not sure if they do bother to follow-up for those who didn't receive offers.

Wow, when I spoke to my recruiter early March, she said the slots for CVICU were full so I couldn't even interview with them. Anyway... I think they are probably busy. I interviewed with another hospital and still haven't heard back in 3 week(they told me I should expect to wait 3 weeks). I would email the recruiter again if it's ready over the timeframe for you. I hope you hear back soon!! All I know is, my recruiter hasn't been very helpful and she doesnt really respond to my questions or email. I had to email the nurse manager who interviewed me for confirmation of my offer.

As anyone heard back from CHOA or received an offer?
