ATL Nurse Residencys Winter 2022

Nursing Students Post Graduate

Published

hello,

I haven't seen a thread yet for new grad nurse residencies starting in feb/march 2022. Thought id make a thread to post updates. So far I have applied to CHOA, Emory, Wellstar, and Piedmont-waiting for Northside and Grady to open up

hey! How was the phone call with the Piedmont recruiter? I have one tomorrow.

They just ask what units you’re interested in and what piedmont locations, why you want to be a nurse and ask why piedmont?

Hello,

I am also curious about residencies! Does anyone happen to know how long does it take for residencies to reply back?

I had a residency interview 5 weeks ago, and they told me to keep looking at the status of my application online. I haven't gotten rejected nor accepted, nothing has been updated since my interview 5 weeks ago.

I tried calling but they told me to wait. I'm worried they forgot about me. Does that mean I didn't get it?

HELP!

@Luccia not sure what hospital you’re referring to but you should be able to reach out to the recruiter who helped schedule your interview, they should be able to give you an update if you haven’t heard in the time frame you were told.

I interviewed with Piedmont yesterday. Waiting for feedback, few more hospitals I’m waiting on so I’m okay waiting. When is the virtual expo? I’ve only heard about Wellstar’s.

How was the Piedmont interview? I am getting mine scheduled and she said it will be with 6 managers from all different Med-Surg specialties which makes me nervous.

I did not get selected for that location, interviewing Monday @ their Atl location with panel. I’ve done two panel interviews so far and they really do make you feel comfortable. Being yourself, practicing questions beforehand in order to prepare helps confidence and anxiety level big time. You will do great! Good luck.
