ATL Nurse Residencys Winter 2022

Nursing Students Post Graduate

Published

hello,

I haven't seen a thread yet for new grad nurse residencies starting in feb/march 2022. Thought id make a thread to post updates. So far I have applied to CHOA, Emory, Wellstar, and Piedmont-waiting for Northside and Grady to open up

OMG that’s so exciting!! It went really well! They were super easy to talk to, and it wasn’t nearly as intimidating as I thought it would be. It was a lot of situational questions, but if you just be yourself you’ll do great! Maybe we’ll be coworkers! ?

@ke22 How did your interview go today?

It was great! I was not nearly as nervous as I thought I was going to be, they made you feel so comfortable. Hoping to hear back sometime this week ??

Yea! So happy to hear everyone is interviewing at their respective places and things are moving forward. Keep us updated, did they give you a timeframe to hear something back?

No they did not. Hopefully soon though, I’m already anxious LOL

Ahhh yay!! How was your shadow experience?

Phew, I feel so behind! It’s so crazy because I’ve been preparing since Spring and have had everything organized. But it’s like the final stretch of nursing school just completely exhausts you ? I also had to wait while for LORs from my professors. I’m finally just now submitting my applications for Northside, Piedmont, and CHOA. I heard back about an interview for Wellstar a couple weeks ago!

I applied to CHOA NICU, PICU, and CICU late last night and just got a digital interview invite this morning.

There’s still time and hope y’all. ?

Hello everyone! I have applied to CHOA, Emory, Northside, Piedmont, and Wellstar. Have an interview and shadowing with CHOA mid Sept. Had phone convo with Wellstar recruiter, and have one with Piedmont next week. I'm internal with Northside but they're pretty slow about hiring processes just from experience. Hoping to hear from Northside by the time I interview with CHOA as those are my top two choices.

Best wishes to you all. It will be nice to keep each other updated.

Also, FYI Grady just opened their residency position as well.

hey! How was the phone call with the Piedmont recruiter? I have one tomorrow.

Does anyone know the pay rates for these hospitals? I’m trying to budget for my apartment.
