ATL Nurse Residencys Winter 2022

Nursing Students Post Graduate

Published

hello,

I haven't seen a thread yet for new grad nurse residencies starting in feb/march 2022. Thought id make a thread to post updates. So far I have applied to CHOA, Emory, Wellstar, and Piedmont-waiting for Northside and Grady to open up

How were the questions on the digital interview for CHOA??

Weird that Wellstar doesn't hire new grads in peds, but im sure they would be flexible with you since you have so much peds experience!

The digital interview is different but I looked up some questions from Glassdoor and here on allnurses and practiced prior to taking it. It was a total of 9 questions I believe with two being type-in answers.  Behavioral and situational as others have said. I liked that they give you time to read over the question and think about your response before answering. Overall, I think it took about 20 minutes. Just be yourself!

Hey everyone! I've applied to CHOA and have an interview/shadow set up :) I just wanted to hear about everyone else's experiences and meet some other people in the same boat! Good luck everyone!

How long after submitting your digital interview did you hear from them?

Hello everyone! I have applied to CHOA, Emory, Northside, Piedmont, and Wellstar. Have an interview and shadowing with CHOA mid Sept. Had phone convo with Wellstar recruiter, and have one with Piedmont next week. I'm internal with Northside but they're pretty slow about hiring processes just from experience. Hoping to hear from Northside by the time I interview with CHOA as those are my top two choices.

Best wishes to you all. It will be nice to keep each other updated.

Also, FYI Grady just opened their residency position as well.

How soon after you submitted your wellstar application did they reach out to you?

I did my hirevue on Aug. 13 and then got a call from a recruiter on the 24th!

@sam999 I applied right after it opened, I believe in July, and heard from them in August about scheduling a time to speak with the recruiter via phone. I spoke with someone last Thursday.

Oh my bad, I was talking about CHOA! Hirevue is their equivalent of a digital interview

Good luck on your interview @bec21sc let me know how it goes. ? Pediatric hem/onc is my dream at CHOA! I was waiting for my practicum placement assignment, so I plan on applying this weekend for CHOA. Is everyone who applied to CHOA internal or external?
