ATI vs Qbank

Published

I would like to know if anyone knows which is a better prep course...pleas help

Thanx

I would have to say Qbank. I haven't taken the NCLEX, not until another week, but I have used both. If you are referring to Kaplan Qbank then I say Qbank over ATI. I have utilized both and I can tell you that I learned strategy with Kaplan from day one and have had the chance to apply it with Qbank then the two years we used ATI at our nursing school. I cannot speak for everyone, but most people did not like ATI at my school. I am not trying to down ATI because they did help me in ways for my nursing school type of tests, and other people may like it, I am just talking from my experience of using both. The majority of questions I get from Qbank are analysis and application which I have heard are the type of NCLEX questions you will recieve. Also, I have been told that consistantly taking NCLEX type questions will better prepare on how to best pick apart the question and choose the best response and Qbank has a bunch. You can even choose by categories and build your own tests. But just keep checking on here and other places, someone may offer another opinion and give you some better points they have with ATI.

You can find out more about Qbank here: http://kaplannursing.com/Nursing_Domestic/NCLEX-RN/View-Kaplan-Programs/NS_nclex_overview.html

Under the "Supplemental" section, it is the first link. Qbank is also included if you purchase NCLEX-RN Complete (or Complete Online).

The prices for all of these are listed at this website.

I did not try the Q-bank, I used Saunders and ATI and both seem to prepare you for the NCLEX. I took the NCLEX-RN and both of these books seemed to have harder questions than my test. Hope this helps.
