Hi,
I failed the nclex first time around. Signed up for ATI's virtual RN and still failed, the second time. I think it's a good program, it just didn't work like I thought it would. I think if you listen to your ATI instructor and study consistently everyday, I don't see why it wouldn't work for someone else. I'm taking the boards for the third time this thursday and this time around I worked not only with the ATI instructor, but I also decided to try out an in-class review. Hopefully this time it works!
Good luck to you! :)

I used this when I graduated, before I took NCLEX. I didn't think it helped prepare me for NCLEX. I got more out of the Saunders book and the Mosby's Prioritization & Delegation book. That said, my school has a 100% pass rate on NCLEX for the past few years, so we were well prepared in school.
Best of luck to you!!
Thank u guys for responding..I really appreciate it.

I never tried the ATI Virtual RN program, but my school did start using ATI as a supplement to nursing classes the semester I started there. We got new ATI books every semester that went with our course (Med Surg, PEDs, etc.) and cds. I have to say that I didn't like it at all. It was a lot of reading on top of all the reading we were already doing. And the way the books were set up I felt like they tried to simplify things but in doing that they would leave a lot of things out. Some of the cds were ok, but I didn't feel they were a great help. Some people in my class liked it a little but most didn't. My school ended up cancelling their contract with them right before my last semester.
I just took the NCLEX this morning and I won't know my results until Saturday morning. The computer shut off at 78. I hope I get good news Saturday morning. I want this so bad. I used some of Saunders (didn't get to finish the whole book to review for NCLEX, but did most of it during school), but most of my review was with Kaplan. My school paid for a program once we graduated. It came with questions and the book and reviews. I also purchased the Qbank which has like 1300 questions and a couple of other quizzes. I think it helped me a lot. The questions were very similar to NCLEX.
I wish you the best. My positive thoughts are with you! You will do it! :)

When you took the Virtual ATI and had to take a predictor exam at the end of it, do you remember what version of the test you were given? Was it 3.0 version or 2007A/B? Bc I took the 2007 A and B version in my nursing program and I dont think it would make any sense if the Virtual ATI were to test me on the same things....

I took ATI PN exit exam for school and passed. While studying Saunders, and looking over the online ATI practice, I noticed that a lot of the lab values for ATI were different than Saunders. Be careful of that when taking the board, I wouldn't study the ATI lab values for the board exam.

Hi, My school also used the ATI program. We had the books, CD's etc. I really took and retook the practice tests, but you get to know the answers and so it's not all that helpful. At the end of school they had us take the predictor test. I did get a 98% chance of passing nclex on the first try. Then after school we automatically got to participate in the virtual ati. I did all the tests, but didn't like the fact that they didn't let you review the predictor test results. On that I got a 99% chance of passing the nclex. I take the NCLEX RN in 4 days (the 29th). Overall, I didn't really care for ATI ~ so I also took the 3 week ncsbn. I liked that better and I hear the questions are more like the nclex. I will let you know how it goes. I wish everybody luck! It will be nice when this is all over!
