ATI predictive of passing NCLEX?

Hello all, I just graduated and am preparing to take the NCLEX at the end of next month. Our class took an ATI test the last day of school and the results said I had a 98% probablity of passing the NCLEX. I'm wondering if anyone knows how accurate this is? I've started reviewing Kaplans and have been scoring significantly lower on their tests then the ATI or Sanders (in the low to mid 60s instead of mid to high 70s). This is freaking me out a little since I heard the Kaplans questions are more like the real test. Any advise out there? Thanks alot!

Hi I'm interested in knowing the answer to this question also. I just took ATI in my 3rd quarter of LPN school (Med-Surg & Pharmacology) ATI exams are pass/fail for us. So my next and last quarter ATI exam will determine whether I pass LPN school. Also, does anyone know how ATI compares with HESI. My ATI scores were high per my instructor and compared to my fellow students' grades. (I still haven't quite figured out how to interpret ATI scores) However, I found ATI harder than the other NCLEX practice tests I've been using (i.e., Sanders, Kaplans, Mosby, Smith, etc.)

Hi Drysolong,

The ATI test we took was a 180 question test to predict success of passing the NCLEX-RN (and also for our school to guage how we did). As I understand it- you get one score which represents the percentage of questions you got right- for example, mine was 76%. Then, there is a guidline that compares your score to national scores and that is your percentile ranking-in my case a 98th percentile. Which they say equates to a 98% chance of passing state boards. We were able to obtain a print out from ATItesting.com that gave us all that information. Hope that helps. I am taking the Kaplans course next week and will let you know how that goes. =)
