ATI NurseLogic

I swear I just got dumber after listening to ATI's NurseLogic Critical Reading module. I can't believe I wasted almost an hour on that thing. It seriously gives you a tutorial on basic test taking skills that I would not have been able to pass nursing school if I didn't already have. Seriously, their "tips" were things like "eliminate incorrect options" and identify the key words and issues in the question. I'm so glad I'm not paying for it! (Well, I guess technically I paid for it with my school tuition.)

Are the rest of the modules for test taking skills just as useless? If I've consistently been a good test taker for all my life and tested well in nursing school, should I just skip to the content review and taking questions?

Today was my first day of studying and I feel like most of the day was a waste with this ATI stuff.

Lots of people have problems with ATI. Perhaps you should consider another study resource.

Yeah, I'm using the Silvestri book too and then NCLEX 4000 for questions.

I've heard that the questions from ATI were helpful for people in previous graduating classes. I think I'll just use the questions.

We were forced to complete the ATI modules at the very beginning of school. It's only the 4th month of a part time program so I still wouldn't know the answers to those questions. When we did it, it was a complete waste only because the questions were beyond the class cirriculum. I found myself Googling drugs so I could answer questions about test taking. I hated it and attempted to discuss it with my instructor for that class. Got me no where so I finished the rest of it. Still stick with the fact that it's useless.

I have heard students say similar things, the questions may be helpful but don't make that your only resource.
