ASU/GCC Nursing CEP

Published

Hi everyone! I am a current CNA/MA on the wait list for the fast track LPNat gateway. I read about the CEP program not to long ago and wish I knew about it long before. Seems like such an amazing opportunity. Sucks being a first college generation student sometimes. Any who does anyone know if they offer similar opportunities after completing the LPN program?

After completing your LPN there are still quite a few pre requs you have to do before trying to bridge into the RN program. Because you would bridge in I don't believe there is an option for CEP with ASU.

NAU offers people the option to start on their BSN in block 3 that may be an option.

For some reason I thought ASU had a CEP program. Hmm. NAU wouldve been my next option so that works out great! Yeah I still have a few Classes CHM 130 and BIO 202 which I will try to complete in the meantime, as well as my HESI for a better score. But thanks so much for responding! Are you planning to do the CEP or in the CEP program?

ASU does have a CEP program. Only for the RN program, not for students that bridge in. I could totally wrong and you could get the best answer from an nursing advisor.

I'm a ASU/GCC evening student. I'm just finishing up block 1 right now :)

No I think u may be correct. I researched it last night. How is block one so far!? You must be super busy!! Is it difficult

It's crazy, stressful, and exciting all at the same time!

It's really not bad once you get a hang of the differences from pre-requs.

Oh I can imagine! I can't wait until I start! Still waiting on notification for placement for LPN. Been waiting one semester but seems like no one for the fall cohort has been notified yet. I'm excited to put my nose in a book and learn some more! :yeah: If not its okay. I have a plan B for the fall. Have u started clinicals? If so what areas?

You do clinicals in each block and they go hand in hand with what your learning.

So in block two we do med surg and psy, our clinicals are on a med surg floor and psy floor.

Hello, I am also trying to get into the lpn fast track. But I did see an application for advanced placement lpn, to rn with upper Iowa University. Yes, you do still have to take the pre reqs to get into the rn program along with the Co reqs for the BSN.

This is brand new from what I assume. And I think their first cohort will start in th e fall, according to this paperwork. Have you attended an CEP, information session?
