Hi!
Does anybody with an associates in nursing work in NYC?

There are thousands that work in NYC with an Associates degree, as well as Diploma. Not sure why you are asking................

I was asking because I have been checking out the websites for hospitals in NYC and they seem to say BSN preferred. I just wanted to know if anybody had been hired with an ASN.
There are community colleges all over NY that offer the Associate's degree in Nursing. And just as you stated, it says "preferred", it doesn't say required.
Hospitals do not look at degrees alone when offering a position, but what the nurse can also offer them. A degree is only a small part of the picture. An RN is an RN when it comes to working....................simple as that.:wink2:
