Ok, I understand that there are a lot of threads regarding my question but I feel that some of them are redundant or unoriginal. I need a nursing issue to debate about that is interesting and unique. Let's go beyond the "nursing shortage" or the "DNR" debates, they're so overrated. I also want an issue where there is not a definite bias.

Why not look at the difficulty nurses have with integrating evidence based practice into their workplaces? Why is it so hard? How can it be overcome?

Age Allocation. Should health care be based on age?
Who gets the last ICU bed - the 85 year old or the year old? Its easy to say the 25 year but what if the 85 year is the mayor of a city and the 25 year ol a homeless, drug-addicted person, does this change the picture?
The Canadian health care system vs the American Health Care system. If someone has the money to pay for their health care needs should they be able to "jump" to the top of the line? If someone can pay for their loved one to have that CT scar, MRI or whatever that doesn't really need to be done by they want it done, can they jump the line? Look at the way professional athletes get CT scans or MRI right away with little waiting - why do they get things so fast while someone else has to wait weeks/months to get the exact same test? If money involved? Is this right? Fair?
I could go on. But i'll stop for now. I've got lots more if you want~
