Hey guys ... So i was planning on going to a nursing school in canada from nigeria but my parents could not afford it . And this is something I really want please could anyone suggest a cheaper way of becoming a registered nurse except enrolling in a university nursing program

Sadly, no. The only path to becoming a registered nurse in Canada involves 4 years of university. There may be options for financial aid that you could explore through the schools you're considering; you might be able to defer repayment until you're established in your career. But this board isn't able to offer you direction on that.

As a Nigerian, your fees will be huge because you are an overseas student. That's the way of the world.
What made you decide on Canada for your education? I work with several African nurses who all were educated at home and then migrated after gaining experience.

You could do a 2 year RPN program, and then work part time while getting your RN degree? Could help a bit with the money issue..
They'd still be paying non-resident fees and would ultimately spend more on the education
