Hello All
I'm a new LPN graduate. I intend to become a CRNA. What areas do you recommend I gain experience in as an LPN?

First of all, where do you live? It depends on that. I was an LPN for 11 years before I became a RN. It is very, very dificult to get into ICU as an LPN. I don't think that exist. But if you can get into a med/surg floor, that will prepare you for both the RN program and also it's a good floor for pre-icu. At my hospital, they hardly use LPN on the floor, but if you find a hospital that will hire you as a LPN into a med/surg, go for it. Also, acute care centers can be the next choice if you can not get into a hospital. But, the work load is crazy in those long term acute care.

Go and get your RN and BSN...you won't be able to do much in critical care until then. You will need them to apply to CRNA school anyway.
