Hello,
I would like to pursue my BSN degree and came across Aspen University. I currently have my ADN. They are CCNE accredited and 100% online. Has anyone obtained there BSN from Aspen or is currently doing their RN-BSN ? I would appreciate any feedbacks, thoughts and opinion? I am debating between WGU or Aspen.

I've also been looking into Aspen University's RN to BSN Program. I don't know if you're on Facebook or anything, but I follow a page called American Nurse Today which is the official journal of ANA and they have been posting about Aspen. So it must be a great deal if someone else very reputable is posting about them. I'm still not positive which school I will choose, but the fact that Aspen is 100% online has me leaning toward them being that I also have a job.
I would also be nice for someone's input who went there as well.
Thank you for your response. I originally wanted to do WGU but having to take biochem and Statistics from WGU discouraged me. I have not come across anyone here in all nurses that have completed their RN-BSN from Aspen University though. However, I have spoken to an enrollment counselor from Aspen University and the fact that the school is very affordable ($9750 for RN - BSN), no clinicals/preceptorship, no group projects, and 100% online for full time working nurses like us is very convenient.
Let me know if you do decide to go with Aspen. I am hoping to start the program on September 5th. :)
Yeah, sure thing and best of luck with everything. I'll be sure to let you know if I enroll.

The thing with Aspen is that yes, they have ACEN accredited but they are not regionally accredited.
What that means is if you wanted to pursue your MSN sometime later you would have issues enrolling in other schools.

Thanks for the great comments! Right, we are totally online and no stats course in the required curriculum. If you have any questions, feel free to email me (I'm the Program Director for the RN-to-BSN program at Aspen) - [email protected]. I'm also a graduate of the MSN program at here at Aspen. It was my experience with the MSN program that made me want to work here as an instructor and now the program director.
Is Aspen in the process of receiving regional accreditation?

I am trying to choose an online RN to BSN program now. I thought Aspen was 100% online but when I read about the classes Community Health 1 and Community Health 2 they both require "community interaction". I am not quite sure what that means. Anyone know? I am also interested in knowing how much paper writing is involved. So far all programs seem to involve a great deal of writing. Writing papers is not the best way of learning for me.
