I was hoping someone would answer this post. I asked something similar and didn't get a response back either for the MSN program. I liked the program, just seemed too good to be true.

I think most people avoid Aspen due to the lack of regional accreditation, which can limit further credit transfers and possibly cause an acceptance problem for employment (one of my jobs will only accept regionally accredited degrees). There are cheaper schools that are accredited, so why go to a school that isn't? :)

Which program are you looking at? I attend the MSN-Ed program at Aspen and graduated last year. Personally, I found the program to be very competitive cost wise while offering a solid no frills education. The workload was challenging but very doable while working full time. It is definitely not a program for people who need some hand holding, however. It required significant self direction, particularly the practicum component. However, that being said, I am quite proud of my experience and feel that it gave me an excellent knowledge base as a nurse educator. The instruction varied (as do all), but some were excellent (Dr. Beaman) and very invested in student outcomes. I highly recommend the program, if you are strong self learner. No problems in the workplace, quite a boost actually, professionally. Feel free to reach out with any questions!
