I would be having heir interview already, any day from now. I would like to ask any idea or information on the way their interview goes?thanks in advance!

it's the last week of May and yet still mo txt from mam mhadz..

Wow...use your backer, bettyboop, at least you get the chance to enter the hospital ASAP.

sorry dulexsidlex, but i don't have any backer. i too is still waiting for their call for an interview just like you and the others. what i meant with my post is that my dad simply said the same thing gambutrol said, i wasn't able to elaborate it well cos i was lazy to do much of typing last night. hahaha. let's just have our faith on it. if it is really our focus, then we'll be directed on it.

it's already june..still no schedule for interview:cry:

Specializes in ER.

  • demanding patients... they calm down after explaining things.. but they're rare... my last encounter with a demanding patient was 3 months ago... generally the patients will be coming from the regular class a, b, seldom c, but never d...
  • toxic schedule... imagine, my sched last monday is 6-2, then tuesday 10am-10pm, wednesday is 10p-6a, then i'll have my rest day on thursday (just to sleep), then back on duty on friday for 2-10, then saturday's 2-10 again. you'll have disrupted body clock and you'll get stressed out on the first weeks or months but eventually you'll get used to it.
  • just above minumum wage.. i started at 9,500 (i belong to the critical care and emergency services, mind you... general nursing unit nurses get less 300 or 500..)... i have been working there for 15 months now and my salary is 10,300... call center agents have way better salary..
  • good thing is you really could practice in an ideal setting... i perform nursing procedures by the book...
  • a lot of paper works... more than the usual...
  • in my department all my colleagues are great... but i believe in other floors they have that seniority complex - that if you're just a beginner then you know NOTHING... but based from the experiences of newly hired nurses parang wala na yun... hehe.. hopefully they have slashed that complex..
  • less benefits.. you're only allowed to have sick leave after your 1st year anniversary...
  • good thing... no contract... you'll be on probationary for 6 months.. then regular after.. you may leave the hospital provided that you pass your resignation letter 30 days before...
  • you'll have a tea party with the big bosses of the nursing service a few weeks after being hired... it felt great that the chief nursing officer gets to serve you your cookies... haha... prepare your song here... they'lll ask you to perform a song/dance number.. haha..
  • there are house physicians/residents but you'll deal more with the consultants..
  • it is not yet JCIA certified... still have a lot to work for... but towards JCIA accreditation (when? good luck?!)
  • many of your seniors will leave you soon... a lot of them are stuck here waiting (for US) because of the retro.. others will leave for dubai, or saudi soon, and you'll have half of the staffing all probies...
  • generally nice... i love being in this hospital... i wouldn't leave it for greener pasteurs if they pay good...
  • good luck!

miketheman thanks 4 the info but its already june and still no col for the schedule of our interview. Are they still in freeze hiring status. I'am desperte to find a nursing work. does the interview in asian difficult or tolerable hope to hear from you soon thanks

you are not alone there, I've been looking for work all this time and still haven't found any.

Oh BTW, are they now hiring again?

I couldn't wait to work for asian hospital after hearing miketheman...

@ nurseboy143, yeah... it is indeed difficult to find a job these days... a lot of nursing graduates but a few nursing jobs... well, i believe that status will last for 5 or 7 years more because of the retrogression... unlike before 2003 that new graduates can easily land a nursing job because many of the experienced nurses get to migrate to US or Canada, now we can't get that wanted spot because they're stuck here in the Philippines... Try to do volunteer work, at least you'll have clinical exposure... You'll get more favored if you have previous experience... By the way, being hired at Asian Hospital (or any KNOWN tertiary hospital) is a plus factor when you apply abroad (specifically middle east - i just did).. so just be patient.... or you'll be the patient... hehe... just follow-up once in a while with the Patient Care Services at 7719000.. good luck!

dont know i have no idea just call the patient care service to know if you already have your sked

sir miketheman correct me if im wrong employers in abroad doesn't count volunteer work as a experience they want paid working experience as a nurse. Your right we just have to be more patient and many experienced nurses re stuck in our country because of retrogression that's why it is difficult to land a job. Can i ask something does asian hospital are already in hiring status because my friend told me that they are in freeze hiring status last march to may 2009. and how about the interview. does the interview tolerable to answer thanks for your response

has anyone been scheduled for final interview?
