oh well i can answer this one. the aas is an associate in science and requires a min of 7 science and art electives and the as is an associate in applied science and requires a min of 7 free electives .. i had the info sitting on my desk..lol good luck
excelsior offers the nursing degree in as, associate in science, or aas, associate in applied science. i can't figure out what the difference is. i asked them but they don't seem to know either ;p i just wanna make sure i'm not stuck when i go for the bachelor's.

The defining characteristic between an AS and an AAS has always been the fact that the AAS degree prepares one for immediate employment, whereas the AS degree is for transfer to a 4-year college/university. Numerous universities automatically accept the AS as having completed the gen ed courses for most degrees. AAS degrees are only transferred on a course-by-course basis, if at all.
