Army Reserves and OBLC 2011/ STRAP program Q's

Hello Guys,

I have some quick questions. First, anybody out there submitted their package for the boards for April or the upcoming 2011 months?... Also how do you find out about OBLC dates for 2011?. I would like to know in advance... My last question, lets say that if you want to use the STRAP program for MSN, to specialize.. is that possible?. what are the requirements for that?.. I am looking everywhere and I cant find the answer..

thank you in advance..

As far as the STRAP program goes, you will need to talk to your recruiter for the most up-to-date information. They continuously change the qualifying education specialties to reflect the needs of the Army. I spoke with my recruiter about DNP options, and he said that only Psych., Community Health, and CRNA programs qualify for STRAP at this time.

Hope this helps,

thank you for the info. My recruiter called me today. I asked him the same question and he told me what you just told me.. He said that I can specialize in my unit, such as critical care, ER, etc... Are you in the process of applying or you already got selected?.. In in the second step now which is physical, sometime in April at Walter Reed, DC... What about you?

I have a year left in my BSN, So I am still determining the path I wish to pursue.

Best of luck to you... it is a long process.

Good luck to you too!

thanks!

I wish you the best finishing the BSN and your future goals.

OBLC dates can be found on ATTRS. Ask your recruiter for help with that.
