Is anyone applying to the CRNA program at Arkansas State University in 2017?

Well that's a little disappointing to me. That means they'll rely heavily on GPA & GRE scores to make their decisions :/ Thanks for the info

Yes basic questions for me too I am wondering how they will pick candidates. I felt like they were rushing me through the entire interview. It was very short. Almost makes me think they already have picked out who they want.

I'm glad you said this because I felt the interview was very rushed, as well.

Hey guys, just some food for thought here. For those who were first to interview and go through the process without knowing what to expect and how to exactly answer certain questions that would be asked, by giving details and input on how the interview process is, you are only potentially giving your competition for acceptance into the program the upper hand and allowing others to be prepared to methodically answer questions taking away the element of surprise . I am all about helping each other out and giving tips, but to be so specific is only shooting yourself in the foot and opening the door for others to outshine you.

That is very true VfibDfib. However, I don't feel like anyone here went over any in-depth information really. Saying that there is a quiz, which they could possibly switch up on each interview day or saying the type of interview style is still basically saying nothing. I guess what I'm saying is that at the end of the day neither of you guys are me & vice versa. That is each and every one of our own personal gifts ! " For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.-Jeremiah 29:11. What God has for me is for ME alone & no one is going to stand in the way of that. Good luck to everyone who has upcoming interviews

I plan on applying here in April. Does anyone who was accepted plan to share their stats? Im wondering how competative their program is. I am a louisiana resident looking to apply and hopefully move there for school :

Thanks!

During my interview Dr. Black said we could expect to hear back in about 3 weeks.

That's funny. I was told 6 weeks.

Did anyone ask how many they are choosing for the class? Does anyone have any comments from their interviews this week?

I didn't ask in my interview last week but am also interested in knowing the ratio of interviews to available spots.

I will say I was supposed to interview August 31, but am in southeast Texas, flooded out of my home, staying with friends. My interview has been rescheduled for September 5. I know of at least one other, and I'm sure there are more, that have had to reschedule their interviews due to Harvey. So it probably will take longer than usual to make their decisions, as they will have to interview everyone first. At this point I'm not sure that I will be able to leave onSeptember4 either.

@ICuNurse7742 I am so sorry to hear about your situation. I can't even imagine what you must be going through ! However, if you aren't able to make it September 5th then maybe you can suggest skyping or face timing your interview as I have heard that some people had to do that during Katrina. Good luck with everything :)!
