Who else here is applying to ASU for the summer or fall 2014 cohort? Applications are all due February 1! There are 60 spots for summer dpc, 60 spots for fall dpc, 30 spots for fall at Mayo, and 20 spots for fall at the VA hospital. Lots of options this year. What are you guys choosing? How is your GPA and TEAS? I'm going to be a nervous wreck until i get a letter in the mail that will either confirm or squash my dreams. I really want to get into Mayo. That would be so awesome.

Congrats to everyone who got accepted!! I received my provisional acceptance email last week for fall 14 downtown and just turned in my intent to enroll yesterday. I'm excited and nervous at the same time because of the "provisional" acceptance… can anyone offer some advice about what possibly hinder one's chances of starting the program?

Once you get provisional acceptance, you need to pass a drug test and physical, as well as pass a background check and submit proof of insurance. My letter said that they're sending out more info next week (at least for the summer cohort) so we'll probably find out details then. Also, if you're currently enrolled in any last prerequisites, you have to pass them. :) Otherwise, you're in! Congrats!!!

Now to find some non-see-through white scrub pants. I gave away my last couple of pairs to the Goodwill after CNA class.

It's okay! It's exciting! Class starts in a month and a half for the summer program so I am getting antsy to get everything in order! :)

Is white the official scrub color for ASU?

For clinicals, pants are white, tops are wine (and are customized for ASU).

Does anybody know what the white official CONHI polos are for? Is that what we're supposed to wear to class on non-clinical/non-lab days? I guess I'll find out in a few weeks, I'm just curious.

Yep, I registered last night. Today, I'm looking for books. Did you sign up for the presentation tomorrow, "How to Land Your First Job in Nursing?" Seems like there could be some useful information in there.

That's great! I've been browsing online for books but I think I'm going to wait until the welcome meeting to purchase them.

I didn't sign up for the presentation but it sounds awesome. I will be at home with my kiddos and no car tomorrow. Are you going?
